What is FastQC?

FastQC is a widely used bioinformatics tool for assessing the quality of high-throughput sequencing data. It generates detailed reports on metrics such as per-base sequence quality, GC content, duplication levels, and adapter contamination. FastQC is the per-sample read-quality checker used at the start of Foundry pipelines that helps researchers determine if sequencing data is suitable for downstream analysis.
